Share a LAN world online

Play Minecraft LAN over the Internet

A local Minecraft world does not have to remain inside the same Wi-Fi network. TunnelCraft can relay the Minecraft connection and provide an address for your friends.

In brief: Install TunnelCraft on the host and every player, open or start the world, copy the TunnelCraft address, and let your friends connect with it.

Why normal LAN is not enough

“Open to LAN” normally makes a world visible only inside the local network. Players in another location cannot reach it directly. TunnelCraft replaces that missing inbound connection with a relay connection.

Share the LAN world in five steps

  1. Prepare the host. Get the matching TunnelCraft client for the host’s mod loader from Modrinth.
  2. Prepare the players. Every player installs a compatible TunnelCraft client build from Modrinth.
  3. Start the world. Open the world and use the intended LAN or server workflow.
  4. Share the address. Send the generated TunnelCraft address to your friends.
  5. Test the connection. Start with one player and check the public relay status if something fails.

TunnelCraft

Suitable when every player can install the mod and you want to use the persistent TunnelCraft relay address.

Other approaches

e4mc emphasizes vanilla clients for quick LAN sharing, while Hamachi creates a general virtual LAN for multiple applications.
